Did you knjow... Mutton busting was first introduced at the Daines Ranch Pro Rodeo in Canada in the early 1960s. They wanted an event that would keep the younger kids from riding the rougher stock, so they put some of the family sheep into the bucking chutes and the rest is history. Now, it's a local fair favorite!
Youth will ride sheep in the same grandstand arena the rodeo will take place! Open to the first 30 participants who meet guidelines.
Guidelines: Youth must weigh no more than 50 pounds. Must supply their own helmet - bicycle/skateboard helmets are acceptable. Please check in at the scale house at 5:30pm to be weighed. (Scale house in located in between the livestock barns and the outdoor show arena.
