2025 Volunteers
Countless hours of volunteer time and effort are given by Fairboard members, Department superintendents, Junior Superintendents, Junior Fairboard, Grounds Committee, Cass County Extension Council, Cass County 4-H Endowment Committee, Youth Action Committee, and 4-H Youth Council to make the Cass County Fair one of very few completely free fairs in Iowa.
“Volunteers play a big role in every community event, and the annual Cass County Fair in July is no exception, especially this year,” said Katie Bateman, Cass County Extension Youth Coordinator.
In addition to those with roles directly related to fair, 4-H, and FFA. Many community service clubs, businesses, and individuals volunteer at events throughout the year with planning and preparation meetings. Others are involved at fair with events or activities such as the food stand, static exhibit hosts, livestock auction, and more. Additionally, a special thanks to Area Veterinarians, Cass County Auctioneers, Rolling Hills Bank and Trust, the Atlantic Police Department, and Cass County EMS.
“We appreciate the many hours donated by these volunteers in this united effort for the fair. It helps keep the Cass County Fair a free fair and one that 4-H and FFA members are proud to exhibit in,” shares Bateman.
